Artist's Statement
I try to capture the time-ravaged beauty of the evocative subjects that fascinate me. I work in acrylic and oil, or a combination of both. Composition, texture, and dramatic lighting all play a part in achieving the intriguing quality of the final work. My subject matter is varied: Iconic images of the Pacific Northwest. Well-worn kitchen appliances. Classic cars frozen in action. And more. I strive to depict them all in a way that resonates with the viewer, hopefully awakening a fond recollection of a simpler time.
